Sometimes do people see your life as a bed of roses 🌹. However, your view of life is it’s a pile of poop 💩, a mess, a pile of hard times that stink 😷. The funny thing is that the pile of poop or mess can actually create a bunch of roses.
Let me explain….
As an amateur gardener, I love to plant and grow different types of flowers, beans, peas, tomatoes and more. (I know I sound old, but I love it.)
I would investigate what I had to do and needed. I would start the journey with a small seed and go to work. I found out that one of the best foundations for a seed is what you put it in. The best way is to add compost or manure to the soil. The best ones will include ‘organic matter’. Which could include leaves, straw, wood chipping and animal faeces (basically animal poop). Yep sometimes it might even smell.
It’s filled with nutrients and benefits that cannot really be obtained from any man made alternative. It’s about using nature to enable nature to grow to its full potential.
You then add water, give it the sunshine needed and maybe even need to prune it at times. It takes a lot of time and working on at different points. However, I’m always impressed by the final results and amazed at the power of nature.
So back to what I was saying at the start of this. We might view of our life as poop but it’s rich mixture can help us (the seed) to start growing. Yet, it does not stop there we need to add the water and sunshine to help this poop to grow some beautiful flowers.
“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It is learning to dance in the rain.” Vivian Greene
In my life, water is related to what I pour on it. What I allow to filter through the poop that will help me to see its benefits and change its purpose. This is done via my time spent with God; plus, family and friends that have my best interest at heart. Allowing the Holy Spirit to be my living water. In John 4:14, Jesus reminds us that he can supply water that shall become ‘a fountain of water springing into new life’. (NKJV)
The sunshine is what I am exposing myself to and allowing to enrich my growth. For me currently, that involves learning new skills and strengthen my old skills. Surrounding myself with daily scriptures, talks, podcasts or conversations that provide enlightenment.
My encouragement for you today is to embrace the poop in your life and use it to create a beautiful and unique bunch of flowers, fruits or vegetables. When people look at you and say “you have life easy. It’s all a bunch of roses”. Say “ yes, I’m nurturing and appreciating the poop in my life to change this seed into array of beautiful outcomes.”
“Seeds of faith are always within us; sometimes it takes a crisis to nourish and encourage their growth.” – Susan Taylor (American editor, writer and journalist)
